Crochet Supplies
Crochet Hooks: Hooks can be plastic, aluminum, or steel. Crochet hooks come in sizes: E-4, F-5, G-6, H-8, I-9, J-10, K-10.5, N-13, P-15, Q-19, S-35. The most commonly used hook sizes are F, G, H, I, and J.
Yarn: Yarn can be made from cotton, wool, acrylic or a combination of these.
Blunt needles: These are small plastic blunt ended needles to use for tying in the ends of your projects.
Scissors
Markers: You can purchase small round markers to use in your crocheting or simply use small safety pins for this purpose.

I compiled this list just telling what I use for my crocheting. There are various other products that can be bought including specialty needles for different products. there are also wood crochet hooks--they are supposed to be better for peeps with arthritis--I don't know why? Just a wives tale I guess. you can also get argonomic hooks with a ball on the end to hold that take interchangeable ends. I did a youtube search on crocheting and found some great videos that teach it --if you are a visual learner. I found this to be a great way to learn how to read the patterns.
