Sloppy Joes...yes this is a must at my house. But those packs have gotten so expensive....
1 cup dried minced onion 3 Tbsp. dried green pepper pieces 4 tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 4 tsp. instant minced garlic 2 tsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. celery seed 2 tsp. chili powder
Combine all ingredients and mix well again I use my wire whisk. Store in airtight container in a cool, dry place.
To make Sloppy Joes...brown 1 lb. ground beef in a large skillet; drain fat. Add 3 Tbsp. Sloppy Joe Mix, 1/2 cup water, and 1 cup ketchup or crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover pan, and simmer 5-10 minutes until thickened.
This is great to take camping. Just put in a sandwich bag and away you go.
