I think the Mosin is a keeper. I took it for a test drive and it ain't half bad. Now I just got to buy it lots of food. It's really accurate and with the recoil pad it doesn't kick any harder than the 20 gauge. I reckon it'll be my deer hunting rifle. I know it's not the ideal hunting rifle but I have it and I might as well put it to use. Heck I can buy a couple just in case cause there still pretty affordable.

Thanks OMB I'll check out that ammo. I'm looking into Bulgarian spam cans too. It was super fun to shoot, lotsa bang for the buck if you will. Hubby is thinkin about gettin a couple more, one for me and one for company. You can't beat $100 for a rifle. So what if its ugly like you said the deer don't know it I want to get back out to the range again so I can try to get better grouping with it. Only practice can do that. So the moral of the story is: Mosins are not pretty but they are functional and accurate so what else matters.

I'm still working on hubby for this one.... he owes me one right now so I think I can convince him later tonight. Hmmm might be a little tricky since I did already buy the .22 today. Ahhh I think it will work. Better practice my best sweet little wifey face.
