I think there are some 27 or so states with this legislation pending. I think my state, Ohio, is one of them.
This is very serious with what the Big O is trying to do.

Easy Trip...
The downside is that these resolutions have no real weight, although just the fact that the state legislatures would even draft them is something, I guess. Also, some of them are meant to act as a 'warning' that the states will resist 'unfunded mandates' in the 'stimulus' bill. I went back and read some commentaries about the resolutions and read a few of them and was not quite as excited as I had been.
Still, it's a step in the right direction because it does get folks talking: '10th amendment? What's that?' 'Constitution? We have that? Really? That's in the Bill of Rights?? Wow...uh, what's the bill of rights? '
We have to keep pushing the Congress critters. Dang, Trip - Montana has enough libs in their legislature to stop this? That ain't good.

Montana is getting more and more liberals in the Government, and lest face it, Liberals seem to be more willing to get out there and claw for votes and work hard to get ellected then the GOP types... In MT the Gays can call for a march on the state capital and get a huge turnout, but try to get gunowners to get off their butts and march up there and it's doomed to failure before it starts...what is it with us conservitive types? we bitch and moan about the country going to hell yet we don't as a whole stand up and fight back...you can have a meeting of gunowners and get some real good things being said, but as them to go to the state house and it's all...UH I gotta work or my dog's sick, or my wifes doing her nails..... We are wreping what we sow.. BUT, funny thing, on the new "REAL ID" both houses in MT gov voted 100% against it..... of course as soon as big brother says "Highway Funds" they will bust their ass's to vote for it... I guess it's just us as indivduals standing alone who will make the hard choises...
